Cardiac Imaging

Cardiac imaging has entered a phase of step-change resolution and AI-augmented interpretation. Sessions cover echocardiography (transthoracic, transesophageal, 3D and strain), cardiac CT including photon-counting platforms, cardiovascular MRI for tissue characterisation, nuclear cardiology and PET, intravascular imaging (OCT, IVUS) and hybrid modalities. Discussion includes plaque characterisation, perivascular inflammation, AI-driven interpretation, point-of-care ultrasound and the integration of imaging into structural-heart workflows. The track unites cardiologists, radiologists and imaging scientists shaping diagnostic and procedural precision.

Topics covered in this session
  • Photon-counting CT coronary angiography
  • Strain echocardiography and 3D echo
  • Cardiovascular MRI tissue characterisation
  • Nuclear cardiology and PET imaging
  • Intravascular imaging (OCT, IVUS)
  • AI-driven image interpretation
  • Point-of-care cardiac ultrasound
  • Imaging for structural-heart procedures
